For players who are going to start with the Huntress class in the new Path of Exile 2 league, this bleed Ritualist build provides one of the best leveling options for PoE 2 Dawn of the Hunt.

PoE 2 Dawn of the Hunt Bleed Ritualist Huntress Build Guide

The Bleed Huntress build in Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the Hunt excels in its hit-and-run playstyle, making it incredibly effective for Ritualist leveling. With strong AoE damage from abilities like Whirling Slash and Rake, you can quickly clear packs of enemies while maintaining mobility through Disengage. This build is not only fun and speedy but also incorporates Energy Shield for added survivability, allowing you to dive into combat and retreat effectively. However, it is gear-stat dependent, requiring you to prioritize physical damage, life, and resistances on your gear to fully realize its potential.

To equip your character, prioritize a spear with high physical damage, attack speed, melee levels, and critical strike chance. For your shield, choose one that offers good defense and evasion to enable Shield Charge for fast movement. Focus on armor pieces that enhance maximum life, maximum mana, and resistances, while jewelry should provide flat physical damage, life, mana, and relevant attributes. The amulet should maximize spirit, with double life and mana and critical damage bonuses.

PoE 2 Bleed Ritualist Huntress Skills

1. Level 1-10

At the start, as a Ritualist, your primary ability is Whirling Slash. This AoE skill creates whirlwinds that slow and bind enemies. When you exit the whirlwind, it bursts, dealing damage and knocking back foes. You can create up to three whirlwinds, so the strategy is to use Whirling Slash two to three times before bursting out. The second ability, Disengage, allows you to jump backward while damaging enemies in front. Use Disengage after Whirling Slash to reposition quickly. This combo is essential for effective clearing and survival.

  • Whirling Slash + Martial Tempo + Magnified Effect

  • Disengage

2. Level 10-30

By level 10, you unlock a level 4 uncut skill gem, and it’s time to add Rake to your arsenal. Rake dashes toward enemies, inflicting bleeding with a 100% chance. Remember, Rake's bleeding damage scales with distance, so engage from afar for maximum effect. As you progress past level 10, you gain access to Rapid Assault, which delivers a series of six fast stabs. This ability is primarily useful for boss encounters. Blood Hunt is another vital ability that lunges at targets, causing a blood explosion that consumes any existing bleeding effects. The damage scales based on the amount of blood loss. It’s crucial to use Disengage before Rake to avoid immunity to bleeding after using Blood Hunt.

Next, you’ll add two auras: Herald of Blood and Blood Boil. Herald of Blood provides AoE damage explosions upon killing enemies who suffer blood loss, while Blood Boil applies corrupted blood to enemies upon their death, adding extra damage over time.

  • Rake + Stomping Ground + Brutality

  • Disengage

  • Rapid Assault + Martial Tempo + Rage

  • Blood Hunt + Bloodlust + Concentrated Effect

  • Bloodhound’s Mark + Persistence

  • Herald of Blood + Magnified Effect + Execute

  • Blood Boil

  • Shield Charge

3. Level 30+

Upon reaching level 30, you’ll refine your build further. Rake remains your primary ability, now enhanced with Deep Cuts and Heavy Swing to increase bleeding severity. For Disengage, consider adding Ingenuity for faster cooldown recovery. Maintain Blood Hunt with Close Combat, Blood Lust, and Concentrated Effect to maximize single-hit damage. For Herald of Blood, switch to Execute, Magnified Effect, and Brutality to boost damage output. At this stage, you also add passive abilities like Wind Dancer and Tame Beast, both of which reserve spirits. Wind Dancer provides a defensive boost, aiding in survivability, while Tame Beast allows you to tame a companion beast that increases your physical damage when nearby.

Tame Beast is an aura that reserves a percentage of your spirit. To use this ability effectively, you must target and kill a rare beast. For example, you can find a suitable boar in the Infested Barren in Act Three. Once tamed, the beast provides a damage boost and can taunt enemies. Support gems for Tame Beast, like Minion Mastery and Blood in the Eyes, can enhance its effectiveness. This companion will serve you well throughout your journey.

  • Rake + Deep Cuts + Heavy Swing + Heft

  • Disengage + Ingenuity

  • Rapid Assault + Rage + Martial Tempo

  • Blood Hunt + Close Combat + Bloodlust + Concentrated Effect

  • Bloodhound’s Mark + Single Out + Persistence + Demolisher

  • Herald of Blood + Execute + Magnified Effect + Brutality

  • Wind Dancer + Maim + Blind + Vitality

  • Tame Beast + Minion Mastery

  • Shield Charge

  • Blood Boil + Physical Mastery + Cannibalism

PoE 2 Bleed Ritualist Huntress Ascendancy Nodes

1. Corrupted Lifeforce

This node grants access to the Blood Boil skill, which is crucial for dealing bleeding damage. Additionally, it provides a 20% boost to physical damage from a small node, enhancing overall damage output. Prioritize this node early on, as it significantly boosts your effectiveness until around level 20.

2. Mystic Attunement

This option should be considered later in the campaign, especially if you encounter difficulties with bosses. It offers a bonus for utilizing a third ring slot, which can increase your damage and survivability. Focus on acquiring good rings with high physical damage and an amulet with spirit to support your build.

As you progress and unlock the Trial of Chaos, you will gain access to the third and fourth Ascendancy points, allowing for greater versatility. Initially, Corrupted Lifeforce is recommended for leveling, but be prepared to switch to Mystic Attunement if needed for tougher encounters.
