Do you have an impression of the gyroid furniture item next to the bed in the dream suite newly added to New Horizons? Gyroid is an iconic item in the Animal Crossing franchise, based on the data mining of the ACNH update, it’s very likely to see the gyroid returning as ACNH furniture items in the game.

What is Animal Crossing Gyroid?

Gyroids are based on actual ancient Japanese traditions, they have had a few different roles throughout the games. A Gyroid could be a special character or a decoration item in Animal Crossing, when he appears as a character, players can save their game progress by talking to the gyroid, when you buy a house from Tom Nook, you’ll get a gyroid for free. In the GCN games, a Gyroid is built outside the player's house; in City Folk, a gyroid called Lloid acts as an auctioneer; and in New Leaf, Lloid collects donations for Public Works Projects and loans tools to players on Tortimer Island. While what we are going to outline is the Gyroid furniture, according to the hint “ New ‘35_Gyroid’ ItemKind” that featured in the ACNH file, Gyroid’ is more likely to be added as an ACNH item type.

Similar to fossils, Animal Crossing gyroid items are buried and randomly generated each day at 6 AM, can be found after it’s been raining or snowing. There is a number of gyroids come in many families, where a set of two to four different gyroids match in theme but differ in size, each family also unique in sound and shape. Brewster, who is also highly expected to be added to New Horizons, is known for his liking of gyroids, in New Leaf, players are allowed to work for Brewster and he will pay the player in the coffee and Brewster-themed gyroids (Brewstoids) or other items from the cafe series. All gyroids furniture end with an n "-oid" suffix. In addition, there is a limit to how many gyroids can be contained in a single room at a time, the quantity is varying in each Animal Crossing game, you can sell extra gyroids to Tom Nook for earning Animal Crossing bells

The only appearance of gyroids in New Horizons is Lloid showing up to collects donations for the construction of bridges and inclines. Gyroids were furniture items that appeared in most Animal Crossing titles. Most commonly, they were furniture that played in tune with any music you had playing in your house. The name “Gyroid” is derived from "gyrate" or "gyre," a term relating to spinning. There were dozens of gyroid variations available in the game and varied in size, pitch, sound effect, and tempo. There were different families of gyroids. The members of the family all had similar sound effects but varied in size and pitch.

How to get Animal Crossing Gyroid? Properly based on haniwa traditions, players found gyroids buried in the ground indicated by star-shaped cracks in the ground just like how fossils are currently found in New Horizons. Gyroids would only spawn after days that it rained or snowed. You could find up to three Gyroids buried in one day. Any other day, you would only find fossils buried.

How will Gyroids work in ACNH? There is not much confirmed information about gyroids now, but based on two different updates given to us by Ninji, there was evidence of a Gyroid section along with 2 museum upgrades, one is the art section, which we already have and another the museum shop and cafe which also includes a Gyroid section. The second update added more data-mined information that including new Gyroid items.

When will Gyroids come in ACNH? The fastest opportunity for players to see Gyroids returning to Animal Crossing is the launch of ACNH fall update, along with Brewster and his coffee shop, as well as lots of new features, which is probably at the end of September or early time of October.
