For dedicated players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the thrill of collecting every item in the game is an irresistible challenge. However, as you delve deeper into the game, you'll quickly realize that obtaining certain ACNH items requires more than just playing organically. You have to help a bit from the outside. We’re not talking about the exclusive items you get from NPCs like the rewards from Gulliver or the Dodo Airline rewards. You can get these by just playing the game. We are talking about the items like the campsite sign that sign a ton on island tours or on DA visits.

This comprehensive guide will help you acquire every possible item in ACNH, including those that require external methods or purchases.

How to Get Every Item in Animal Crossing New Horizons - Exclusive, Rare & More

Now let's dive right into the items and how you can get them.

1. Fruits & How to Get

This is the first thing that most players notice, it is not possible to get every fruit by playing game. This limitation stems from the game's design, requiring external sources like trading with other players. While this might seem frustrating, it's not just about collecting every fruit for the sake of completion, missing fruit types hinder crafting certain recipes, significantly limiting gameplay. While rumors suggest villagers might gift missing fruit types, this is untrue, they only gift fruits previously given to them.

To acquire all fruits, you’ll need to subscribe to Nintendo Online and utilize platforms like Nookazon. Alternatively, local friends can trade fruits without a subscription, providing a workaround for those without online access.

2. Sanrio Items & How to Get

Next, we have the Sanrio items. The Sanrio collaboration introduces some of the cutest items in the game, inspiring players to create themed islands. You can also get 6 exclusive villagers that you will never find on any mystery Islands. You can get them only from the amiibo cards. You do have to pay for the amiibo cards but you don't need Nintendo Online to activate them, just scan them in.

So to get the Sanrio items and  villagers, you need to purchase the Sanrio amiibo cards. A workaround would be Nookazon but you cannot reorder the items in your game after trading, so you will only have as many items as you trade.

3. Pocket Camp Items & How to Get

The campsite sign, a common sight on island tours, sparked the desire to acquire all Pocket Camp items. While Nookazon provides a temporary solution, the inability to reorder items necessitates a more permanent approach. Obtaining these items requires a Nintendo Online membership and the Pocket Camp app on your phone, then connect them. You also need to play Pocketcamp a little until you unlock the items, but it is totally worth it. It does not cost anything besides having an active Nintendo Online account.

4. Nintendo Online Exclusive Items & How to Get

There are also two exclusive items that you can get just by having an active Nintendo Online account. They are the switch lite and the silk bath mat. Once you get the Nintendo Online membership, it will already be listed as one of the perks, you have to download it and when you start the game, they should appear in your Nook shopping list and can be ordered through there.

5. Nook Link Items & How to Get

Next we have the Nooklink items. There are also other Nintendo Online exclusive items. To get these items you will need a Nintendo Online membership and you also need to install the Nintendo Online  App on your phone and log in with your Nintendo account. When you do this you will see Nooklink. It offers a range of features, including faster writing and reaction selection during online trading, a charming newsletter, and the ability to collect points daily. Once you   have enough points you can then exchange them for exclusive Nooklink items. You can only get two per day and once you bought it, it will get delivered straight to your mailbox in the game.

So if you have Nintendo Online, there is no reason not to use this. Stock up on points, get the items and even if you don't need them you can trade them on Nookazon for extra Bells or Nook Mile tickets.

6. Happy Home Paradise DLC Items & How to Get

If you don't have the DLC you won't have all the items. Happy Home Paradise DLC introduces a plethora of new items, making it a worthwhile investment even for those who aren't interested in designing vacation homes. So how to get the HHP items? You need to buy the DLC. You can of course get all these items on Treasure Islands as well or just by trading with your friends without Nookazon.

7. Rare Items & How to Get

One of the rarest items in the game is the celebratory arch from 2021 and 2022, only obtainable through Nookazon or Treasure Islands. Their unreorderable nature further enhances their rarity.  For those seeking the ultimate collection, these arches represent the pinnacle of achievement.
