How to Get Rid of Villagers in ACNH: Easiest Methods to Get Rid of Villagers
Having an unwanted villager in your island paradise can be frustrating. While you can't directly force them out, there are a few tricks you can use to encourage stubborn villagers to leave your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. So how to get rid of unwanted villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Ignore them - Don't talk to them, send them letters, or do favors for them. Ignored villagers have a higher chance of asking to move out.
Time travel - Jump 15-30 days ahead at a time. Villagers often ask to move after 15-30 days of no interaction.
Use an amiibo card - Invite an amiibo villager to your campsite 3 separate days. On the 3rd day, they can replace a current villager.
Let them move naturally - Villagers will sometimes ask to move out randomly. Check with all your villagers to see if anyone is considering leaving.
Force them out with another player - Have a friend come to your island and talk to the villager you want gone. The villager may then mention moving to their island.
Complain about them to Isabelle - Complain multiple days in a row. This can reset their wardrobe/catchphrase/etc and potentially make them want to leave.
The easiest methods are ignoring and time travel. Always check with all villagers regularly to see if anyone is considering moving! Patience is key, but they will ask to leave eventually.
