Where to Get ACNH Seeds
Each flower variety has its own distinct color variants, some of which can only be created through crossbreeding. Timmy and Tommy sell seeds of your local flowers every day, and when Nook's Cranny opens, you can get another random seasonal species that rotates weekly. You may also buy numerous vegetable beginnings from Leif or find them on mystery islands on Kapp'n Boat Tours. Leif sells them both on your island and at Harv's Plaza, however his shop rotates crops on a weekly basis, so don't be surprised if you see him selling the same crops multiple days in a row!
Is there a way to speed up the process of crossbreeding flowers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
To obtain hybrid flowers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, arrange your flowers on your island in a checkerboard manner. This will allow them to cross-pollinate and breed blooms, with hybrid flowers sprouting in the gaps. Crossbreeding flowers may be a complicated process, with many possible combinations producing distinct colors and hybrids. there are a few strategies you can use to potentially increase your odds:
-Watering every day: Watering your flowers every day is crucial to breeding new flowers. When a flower is watered, it'll sparkle, indicating it has a chance to breed a new flower the next day.
-Get friends to help water your flowers: When other players water your flowers, it actually increases the chances of them breeding and producing hybrids. The more people you have water your flowers, the better the odds. This can be a fun and beneficial activity to do with friends!
-Use a gold watering can: The gold watering can may have a higher chance of producing hybrids when used to water flowers, according to some players' observations. However, the gold watering can is a late-game item that requires you to maintain a perfect town rating for 15 days.
-Maximize the number of potential breeding pairs: The more pairs of flowers you have ready to crossbreed, the more chances you have of getting a hybrid. Just make sure you're planting them in a checkerboard pattern to allow new flowers to spawn.
-Plant flowers of the same type together: Flowers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons only crossbreed with other flowers of the same species. So, for instance, a rose will only crossbreed with other roses. Make sure to group the same types of flowers together to maximize your chances of getting a hybrid.
