ACNH June Updates & Changes 2023 - New Events, Items, DIYs & Critters in Animal Crossing New Horizons
June is maybe one of the most content-packed months in Animal Crossing New Horizons. There are some major events going on in the game, new items to collect, and all kinds of seasonal changes to enjoy as well. In this ACNH June 2023 update guide, we look at changes that are happening throughout the month for both hemispheres.

June the first for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere is actually the first time ever that plumeria bushes can start to bloom on our island and we can finally see their beautiful flowers. This is definitely really exciting especially if you don't time travel, then it would be your first time really seeing this bloom and blossom on your island. They come in pink and yellow so make sure you've got plenty of these planted. Like every year, the hydrangea bush will start to bloom as well throughout the month. For those of you in the Southern Hemisphere, the camellia bushes will start to bloom from the 16. Incidentally, that is around when snow will start to land on your island. ACNH July Events & Items 2023
There are actually quite a lot of Animal Crossing June items. In fact, June might have the most amount of seasonal items that you can collect in the game.
1. Wedding Season
Wedding Season is a major Animal Crossing June event. To start the event, you'll need to visit Harv's Island and speak to Reese and Cyrus, the married alpacas who are celebrating their anniversary. They will ask you to help them take anniversary photos, and you'll be tasked with decorating their anniversary room with wedding-themed ACNH items.
As you complete their requests, Reese and Cyrus will reward you with heart crystals, which can be exchanged for wedding-themed items at the event's exclusive shop. You can also receive DIY recipes as rewards for completing tasks.
There are actually a few minor changes with this event that you can enjoy this time around. For example, Harvey will actually take part in the conversation when you first arrive on Harvey's island as per Harvey's request. She sadly doesn't actually say anything but it's still nice to see her included as she was of course a big inclusion to Harvey's island. When you're actually decorating the studio, you can use some of the 2.0 update features to make your designs even more elaborate mess with the lighting and other stuff like that.
Wedding Season Items
Wedding Table: A white table with a floral centerpiece and matching chairs that can be obtained by completing the event.
Wedding Cake: A three-tiered wedding cake with a floral design that can be obtained by completing the event.
Wedding Arch: A white arch with a floral design that can be obtained by completing the event.
Wedding Decorations: A set of floral decorations that can be placed around the player's island and can be obtained by completing the event.
Wedding Wand: A wand made of pink and white flowers that can be obtained by completing the event and earning Heart Crystals.
Wedding Dress and Tuxedo: Special clothing items that can be purchased with Heart Crystals earned during the event.
2. Bug Off Event
For those of us in the northern hemisphere, we can enjoy the first Bug Off of the season which happens on the fourth Saturday of the month. This bug off will work exactly the same as all of the other ones that we've enjoyed in the past. If you just want something to do in the game, this could be a fun little thing to try out.
3. Summer Solstice Event
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the Summer Solstice is a seasonal event that takes place on June 21st in the Northern Hemisphere and December 21st in the Southern Hemisphere. During this event, players can obtain special seasonal items and experience unique changes on their island. On the day of the Summer Solstice, players may notice that the sun shines brighter and longer than usual, with longer daylight hours and shorter nighttime hours.

Sunflower Crown: A yellow and brown crown made of sunflowers that can be obtained by redeeming Nook Miles.
Sunflower Rug: A circular rug with a sunflower design that can be obtained by redeeming Nook Miles.
Sunflower Wand: A wand made of sunflowers that can be obtained by crafting it with one Sunflower and one Star Fragment.
Grape Harvest Basket: A woven basket filled with grapes that can be obtained by redeeming Nook Miles.
Wheat Field Wallpaper: A wallpaper with a golden wheat field design that can be obtained by redeeming Nook Miles.
4. Winter Solstice Event
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the winter solstice occurs on December 21st in the Northern Hemisphere and on June 21st in the Southern Hemisphere. During this time, you may notice changes in the game's environment and weather patterns. In the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year, and you may notice that the days become shorter and the nights become longer leading up to the solstice.

5. Father’s Day Event
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Father's Day is a seasonal event that occurs on the third Sunday of June in regions that observe this holiday. During this time, players can obtain special Father's Day items to commemorate the occasion and show appreciation for their in-game fathers or father figures.

Mustache Mat: A doormat with a mustache design that can be obtained by redeeming Nook Miles.

6. International Children’s Day
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, International Children's Day is a seasonal event that occurs on June 1st in some regions of the world. During this time, players can obtain special Children's Day items to commemorate the occasion and celebrate childhood. Some of the Children's Day items that players can obtain include the Handmade Crown, Handmade Cape, Handmade Stuffed Animals, and a Balloon-Animal Set. These items can be obtained by redeeming Nook Miles at the Resident Services center.
