ACNH Fishing Tourney 2023 Guide: Dates, Time, Points, Prizes, Rewards and Items

Fishing Tourney happens every season in New Horizons, but the actual schedule will be a little bit different every year. So let’s get into the ACNH Fishing Tourney event 2023 guide, featuring dates, times, points, prizes, rewards and items. 

ACNH Fishing Tourney 2023 Dates and Time

In Animal Crossing New Horizons, the Fishing Tourney is an event that regularly held in each season throughout the year. For both Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere, it takes place on the second Saturday of January, April, July and October. So the ACNH Fishing Tourney dates 2023 are as below.

- January 14, 2023

- April 8, 2023

- July 8, 2023

- October 14, 2023

When it comes to the exact time, the host C.J. will run the event from 9AM to 6PM. 

What to Do on Fishing Tourney in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

On the day of the event, speak with C.J. outside of Resident Services to start playing the tournament, players need to catch as many fish as possible within 3 minutes, the timer and fish caught counter will be displayed at the top of the screen, you can take part in many times before the tourney ends. But the extra chances will cost you 500 Animal Crossing bells each time. When you participate in a multiplayer tournament, the 500 bell entry fee does not needed. And if 5 or more fish are caught between players, everyone will get 10 bonus points. The fish that player catch will be send to a cooler in the plaza. After scoring, you can sell the fish to C.J. for 1.5 times the sell price at Nook's Cranny. If there is a new fish has not been donated to Museum, take it off from the cooler and donate it.

ACNH Fishing Tourney Points

After the timer closed, talk to C.J. to figure out how many points you earned. You will receive points based on the number of fish caught, not related to the rarity.

- 1 fish gives 1 point. Every fish you catch nets your points.

- If there are three or more fish were caught, 2 bonus points will be given.

When you collected some points, you can exchange for swag, talk with C.J. and select the “Swap my points for swag!”, he will tell you the number of points you have, and you can exchange 10 points to get an exclusive Fishing Tourney items from the following list, and once you reach a certain number of points, you can earn trophies.
