Now it's pretty easy to catch snowflakes you just have to swing your net. Just remember if you walk too close to one or swing your net a couple of times and miss, it will fade away and you'll have to find another one. The good news is there will be plenty floating around often right next to another one depending on how much open space you have on your island. They're pretty easy to find and aren't limited to a certain amount per day. You can literally catch as many as you can find if you want to.

The snowflake can be found in the balloon presents that float across the skies every five to ten minutes. Just remember there's no real science as to what you'll find or how long it will take to collect all these recipes. But it is rumored that these seasonal Animal Crossing Frozen items and DIY recipes have around a 15% drop rate so naturally, it will vary from player to player. It's worth mentioning how easy it is to come across these recipes depending on how developed your island is or how much you play as there's a slightly increased chance of receiving a recipe you don't have. If you've played a lot and have already received a whole bunch of DIY recipes, the more likely it will be that you'll find a seasonal one.

Large snowflakes can also be found by building a snowball using snowballs and this is used to craft Animal Crossing items from the frozen furniture set which includes items such as the frozen counter and ice wand. Despite needing both regular and large snowflakes this set isn't part of the seasonal snowflake series.

Big snowflakes, which are more common elsewhere, don't fall from the sky on your island. Instead, they'll offer you a big snowflake if you can construct a flawless Snowboy. After then, the ideal Snowboy would keep on giving you a huge snowflake every four days.
How to make a snowboy?
1. The first step is to locate two snowballs.
2. To build a larger snowball, kick it 13 times.
3. Roll it in your hands to make it smaller or larger.
4. Make another snowball and place it on top of the first one.
5. Your Snowboy's size determines the awards you get, up to a maximum of 5.
How to make a perfect snowboy?
1. Create the largest possible snowball by rolling it.
2. Miniaturize the second snowball to the size of your character's ear.
3. Flip the camera and compare the smaller Snowball to the height of your character's ear lobes.
4. If the two Snowballs are roughly the same size, you can just push the smaller one onto the larger one; if not, you can adjust the size of one of the Snowball

Carrying over from December is the Festive Season. The ornaments will last on the tree until January 6 so you have a good window of time to shake them down, several of the pine trees at random will start producing pretty little Christmas lights.

ACNH Christmas Items Farming Tip
If you shake one of those trees, it will drop ornaments. If you see the little green circles on the floor beneath the tree, those are the spots where the ornaments will fall. If you shake the tree you can continue shaking and it will only produce ornaments and no branches which is really nice until you have filled all of those particular eight spots. If you move to the other side then you can also shake into the eight spots on the other side of the tree. It's easiest to go ahead and get those eight spots down and walk through and pick them up and then walk back over and shake and continue.
The fastest way to make this process a little bit easier is if you have control of an actual control that has a turbo button, then you can just program it to shake and it'll go faster.
But the best way to do it is with other people. If you invite a friend over or have somebody else take control over another profile character that's already on your island. Then one person can sit and shake the tree and the other person can collect the ornaments. Together you can divide the spoils of your efforts and you will get a lot more ornaments much more quickly.
