When Does Winter Season Start in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

Types of Snowfall - When Does Snow Start in ACNH

There are two types of snow in Animal Crossing New Horizons, including light snow and heavy snow, with the heavy snowfall seeing darker snow clouds and more snow falling than usual. During the first few weeks of Winter, from the end of November and through to the middle of December, snow will fall but not settle on the ground. You can collect the snowflakes that randomly float around the island to craft snowflake-themed Animal Crossing items. There is another seasonal material called large snowflakes, which is harder to get. When heavy snowfall comes in the second half of December, you will encounter snowballs randomly spawning on your island, these snowballs can be kicked and moved, growing these snowballs in size and merging them together to a perfect snow boy, talk with him, you can get large snowflakes and winter recipes for Frozen set items.
