The most unrealistic thing about Animal Crossing New Horizons October update 2022 is Bob giving away candy for free, he would never do that. October is perhaps one of the most exciting and content-packed months in all of Animal Crossing New Horizons. There's honestly so much to do, it's packed full of new ACNH items to collect events to enjoy, and seasonal changes as well so. 7 ACNH October Updates & Changes 2022: Halloween Event, New Items, Shop, Island & More
In the ACNH October update, some of the buildings will start to change how they look and we'll get special decorations for Halloween. Resident services are honestly one of the best examples, it looks really cool for the Halloween season. But the best change is that later on in the month, characters will start wearing special costumes to celebrate Halloween. For example, Isabelle will start wearing a witch's hat and you can see this during her announcements. If you head into recent Services you can see Tom Nook with some devil horns, even Timmy and Tommy are dressed up. Now, we are going to look at other ACNH October changes and updates.
ACNH Halloween Event 2022
This October first of all we have the main event which is Halloween happening on October the 31st from 5 PM till about midnight. This is one of the best October events in Animal Crossing and it's absolutely amazing here in New Horizons. You'll be able to find Jack in the resident services Plaza and from there you can start collecting all kinds of Halloween themed items. Your goal will be to interact with the Villagers around your Island who are trick-or-treating and you've got to give them candy or they'll play some pretty nasty tricks on you. There are quite a few items that you can only get on Halloween night as well, so you'll definitely want to make sure you play this event if you don't have all of them. It's also the only time that you can collect a lollipop item.
ACNH Fishing Tourney 2022
Fishing Tourney happens on the 8th and this happens for both the northern and the southern hemispheres. It's the last fishing tourney of the year. We are not going to spend a lot of time on this one, we all know about the fishing tourney we know how it works by now. If you want to have a great time fishing and get some cool rewards definitely do it.
ACNH October Event Items 2022
We're back to the Halloween related activities and throughout the month of October, you can actually collect a recipe that was only made available this October for the first time. This happens to be the spooky cookies that were introduced with the 2.0 update. Now the 2.0 update dropped in November last year, so there wasn't a chance to collect this item. So provided you didn't time travel forwards or back to get this one, this would be the very first time that you get spooky cookies in the game as Nintendo intended. Your villagers will be crafting a whole bunch of other Halloween themed items throughout the month that you can get recipes for and use those pumpkins to craft. So definitely make sure you're checking in on your Villages frequently as they may have some cool new items for you to collect.
ACNH October Shop Updates 2022
The shops get some updates to Halloween and generally just throughout October as well.
Nook’s Cranny: The exterior of nook's cranny will get some changes around Halloween looking more spooky-themed with some spooky pumpkins that they probably carved themselves. Inside you'll see some Halloween-themed items that you can collect from nook's cranny, these are on sale throughout the month and it's a great opportunity to get them without needing to craft. You won't be able to get every spooky item this way though, you'll definitely have to play on Halloween to get all of them. Nook's cranny will also start selling candy throughout the month and you definitely want to start stockpiling this as you'll need a lot of it on Halloween if you don't want to get tricked by your villagers and you want to make sure you're getting those new items. Sometimes on Halloween, your villages will give you free candy, it's a good idea to stockpile in nook's cranny. Just keep in mind though that you can only get one piece of candy per day, so be wise about how often you're getting it.
The Able Sisters: They will also have some changes and they'll start selling some Halloween-themed items. There are lots of Halloween costumes and such that you can get leading up to the event which will help you celebrate in full Halloween fashion. Definitely recommend paying the Able Sisters a visit in Animal Crossing New Horizons October update. There are some really cool Halloween themed costumes to get.
ACNH October Seasonal Items 2022
October is actually surprisingly sparse when it comes to the seasonal items you can get from the shopping tab. There is only one and this is the marigold decoration which celebrates the Day of the Dead. This was actually only introduced last year right before they did the huge 2.0 update. This could definitely be a new item for a lot of people which is really exciting. They finally decided to add a seasonal item for October as the month honestly had nothing before.
ACNH Cherry Blossom Season 2022
Cherry blossom season is happening for those in the southern hemisphere. This is a time to collect a whole bunch of really cool cherry blossom themed items and you can also catch those cherry blossom petals in the air with your net. Not to mention the fact that the trees become pink, so make sure you're enjoying playing throughout the cherry blossom season in ACNH October update, it's definitely one that you don't want to miss.
ACNH Feature Update 2022
Nintendo will be updating their Nintendo switch online feature which allows you to collect villagers who will be celebrating their birthdays in October. so any villager who has a birthday in October, you'll be able to collect in this feature and use them as a special profile picture icon on the Nintendo switch. Nintendo has kept up with updating this feature and it looks like they'll update it until we get to the one-year point. So all of these characters are new and this is the first time that you can actually collect them and use them as your profile picture including characters like Shino who actually has her birthday on Halloween. In a way it kind of acts as a calendar for Animal Crossing New Horizons. You also can't time travel with this feature, you can't go backward or forward to get different icons updated live by Nintendo. So keep that in mind you may have to wait a while if you miss any of these icons in October update ACNH.
