ACNH August Update 2021 - New Events, Items, Seasonal Materials, Villagers In Animal Crossing Summer Update
We are at the end of July which is one of the quietest months in 2021. Fortunately, August is a big month in Animal Crossing New Horizons, in terms of events and contents to play through, along with new ACNH items boba, cotton candy and popsicles we can get. This is the ACNH August update guide 2021, in-depth events, items, DIY recipes, villagers, fish, bugs and deep-sea creatures for both the North and South Hemisphere.
ACNH August Summer Update 2021 - New Events, Items, Seasonal Materials, Villagers In Animal Crossing August Update
August is already here, we will be able to see some changes around Animal Crossing New Horizons island, along with more things do to. Though there are not too many changes that will occur surrounding the aesthetics of the island, bushes in both hemispheres remain the same through to September, There are seasonal adjustments to the DIY recipe and weather phenomena, whilst others are changes and updates to events and holidays. Thanks to the recently released ACNH 1.11 update, August also brings us new limited time and refreshed events to keep the players occupied. It's not just the firework festival that makes August fun, there are some of the seasonal events in Animal Crossing New Horizons August update 2021.
Firework Festival
Start off with the first day of the month August 1, the first ACNH Firework Festival event 2021 is going to show off with Redds’ raffle prizes. The Fireworks events occur five times this month: August 1st, August 8th, August 15th, August 22nd and August 29th. Starting at 7 p.m, all the players are going to be out in the plaza ready to party with beautiful bright lights of pixie dust in the sky.
Isabelle and Redd will be out there all day getting ready for the Animal Crossing Firework show event August and Redd's raffle is a great place where for 500 ACNH bells, you can get a bunch of cool prizes(Red Sparkler 1-time use, Blue Sparkler 1 time use, Fountain Firework 1 time use, Bubble Blower, 1-time use, Uchiwa Fan, Pinwheel, Tweeter, Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Pink Balloon, popsicle, boba, cotton candy)that you can trade from. The best part about the new items is have new animations in the game, so you can take a lick or a bite or a leak.
If you weren't playing last August, you might not know that Isabelle has her own bopper prize list including the Bulb Bopper, the Flower Bopper, the Star Bopper and the Star Bopper. Furthermore, you can customize your own patterns to shoot in the sky. The able sisters are offering some unique clothes available during the Fireworks show event in Animal Crossing New Horizons, they've got Casual Kimonos, Kabuki-Actor Yukata, Morning-Glory Yukata, and Zori.
First Bug Off
ACNH Bug Off event continues to August 28 the summer season for northern hemisphere players, due to the fact that this event is restricted to the summer season. For the players in the southern hemisphere, you will have to wait until November. Given how the weekends fall in July this year, August only sees the third bug off towards the end of the Month. This event runs from 9 am to 6 pm, players have to catch as many bugs as they can and trade in points for rewards. It’s a great opportunity to earn three Bug Off Trophies, as well as bug-themed items such as Bug Cage and Bug Wand.
The Cowherd And The Weaver Girl
The Cowherd And The Weaver Girl 2021 takes place from August 5 through to August 14. It is a real-world event inspired by a Chinese folk tale about two stars across lovers who get to meet for once a year, because of their forbidden love. During this period, players will be able to purchase both Orihime and Hikoboshi outfits in honor of the celebrations.
Obon
Obon is a new Animal Crossing seasonal event in August 2021. It takes place from August 10 through to August 16. This event is a Japanese celebration of ancestors and family reunions. During this period, players will be able to purchase both the Cucumber Horse and Cucumber Cow with each one available on random days at the nook stop.

Whether you are in the northern hemisphere or southern hemisphere, we are going to enter the final month of the season. With northern players entering the last month of summer, you can continue to collect summer shells through the entire month of August. On the other hand, southern players entering the last month of winter can continue to collect snowflakes through to August 24.
