ACNH Solstice Update 2021 - Animal Crossing New Horizons June Summer & Winter Solstice
Like this time last year, the month of June is jam-packed with content. There are two mini seasonal events that have returned to the game include the ACNH summer solstice update for players in the northern hemisphere and the ACNH winter solstice for players in the southern hemisphere. Meanwhile, Animal Crossing New Horizons June Solstice has featured in most of the mainline games in the past including Let's Go To The City and Animal Crossing New Leaf. Every new seasonal update comes new seasonal items, there's plenty of time to order exclusive Animal Crossing June solstice items, as they're not time-locked, so you can always time travel back to them if you need to. The same with other mini seasonal events, if you head to the resident services and use the nook stop or check the nook shopping app on the nook phone then head across to the seasonal tab. You'll see all of the latest regional events currently being celebrated along with their exclusive items that are available for a limited time.
ACNH June Summer Solstice 2021
Date: June 15 to 21
Items: Sunflower Crown (1,560 bells), Sunflower Rug (1,500 bells)
The ACNH summer solstice event begins from June 15 through to June 21, the sun would actually stay above the horizons overnight for a period of 36 hours to mark the longest day of the year. This update brings both the sunflower crown and the sunflower rug to the game. In the northern hemisphere, the rug is available for the first time in New Horizons.
ACNH June Winter Solstice 2021
Date: June 15 to 21
Items: Mid-Winter Sweater (1,200 bells), Aurora Wall (7,000 bells)
The ACNH winter solstice event begins from June 15 through to June 21. On this day, it would be nighttime all day with the sun never rising. This update brings both the Mid-Winter Sweater and the Aurora Wall. In the southern hemisphere, the aurora wall is available for the first time in the northern hemisphere.
ACNH Solstice Event History Comparison
Compare to June last year, you'll only be able to see the solstice event that's relevant to your hemisphere at the nook stop. A bug that incorrectly displayed both the events to both hemispheres has been fixed from version 1.6 onwards which was during the solstice events back in December. This means from this point onwards all the correct items will be available at the correct times and limited to the correct hemispheres. The mini seasonal event is in line with the real-world celebration that occurs on the 21 of June, marking the most or least hours of daylight depending on which hemisphere you're in.
Summer solstice: was exclusive to European regions in Let's Go To The City and would see Tortimer stop by the town hall to award the player with the espresso maker. The event was much more significant in Animal Crossing New Leaf and would not only see Isabelle who would hand out the ladder shades next to a sunflower-themed cutout standee at the town plaza.
Winter solstice: was only celebrated in European regions in Let's Go To The City, and Tortimer was outside the town hall to award the player with a snow globe. In Animal Crossing New Leaf, the winter solstice was celebrated at the plaza with Isabella handing out a blue glow stick which couldn't be obtained anywhere else in the game next to a four person winter themed cutout standee.
