When the snowflake season starts, Isabelle will make a special announcement and indicates the snowflakes are floating through the air, you need to catch them with a net. Please note the snowflake will appear from December 11 to February 24 in the Northern Hemisphere (June 11 to August 24 in Southern Hemisphere).
- Once the snowflake season starts, the regular-sized snowflakes will float across your island, it does not need to be a snowy day, you can also catch snowflakes during any time of the day.
- In order to maximize your snowflake yield, it is recommended to carry a few different nets with you.
- When catching snowflakes with a net, try to be as accurate as possible, if you swing your net at the snowflake and miss too many times, the motion from your net will cause the snowflake to despawn and disappear. Similarly, if you walk or run into a snowflake too many times, it may also disappear.
- Snowflakes seem to be more abundant than other crafting materials through the wind, so if you miss some snowflakes, you should be able to find another snowflake.
- The only way to get large snowflakes is to make snow boys. Run around your island to find two snowballs and make a snow boy. The first time you make a snow boy, you will receive a large snowflake even if it is not perfect, however, the next snow boy you make must be perfect if you want to receive a large snowflake.
- The snow boy will slowly melt in four days, if you talk to a perfect snow boy each day before he melts, he will give you a large snowflake.
