Want to farm tons of divines and maximize loot from every mapping? Here we are kepping updating the latest PoE 2 0.3 Best Atlas Skill Tree & Mapping Strategies for Currency Farming at early/middle/end game in Rise of the Abyssal league!
Now follow us to get all atlas points fast, set up the most effective atlas tree, maximize your rewards, sustain maps easily, and set up your build for long-term success in the endgame:
After completing the campaign, players are introduced to the Atlas system in Ziggurat Refuge, where Doriani prompts you to begin mapping. The Atlas is a massive map, filled with zones shrouded in fog, representing unexplored content. Your journey starts at the edge of this map, and your main goal is to seek out corrupted zones, which are easily identifiable even through the fog.
Corrupted zones contain a nexus and are vital for progression. Each time you clear one, the surrounding maps become cleansed, and you’re rewarded with five Atlas passive points. These points are crucial for powering up your mapping experience, enabling you to increase monster density, loot, and map variety.
The following strategy is perfect for players just finishing the campaign and ready to optimize their endgame mapping experience in Path of Exile 2: Rise of the Abyssal.
When starting out, your immediate focus should be locating and clearing corrupted nexuses as quickly as possible. Each successful corrupted nexus completion turns the area into a cleansed zone and grants you five Atlas passive points. This process must be repeated several times, typically six, to accumulate 30 points. The final 10 Atlas points needed come from completing five unique maps found across the Atlas.
Towers play a supporting role, providing additional vision and allowing you to insert tablets for extra map mechanics and loot bonuses. As you progress, always ensure to transmute and augment every map you run. Regals are very affordable, so it’s a good practice to regal maps as well. Exalting maps isn’t advised until you reach higher tiers or want to maximize lower-tier juicing.
Your Atlas progression is tightly linked to boss maps. Completing boss maps increases your map tier, allowing you to climb up to tier 15. Boss tablets can be used to spawn additional bosses, speeding up your tier progression. If you ever fail a corrupted Nexus, you must find and clear a new one, so use the lowest viable tier and easiest mods to ensure success.
Doriani’s shop is always stocked with maps one tier below your highest completed tier. This makes it easy to maintain map sustain by purchasing lower-tier maps and upgrading them at the reforging bench, which is accessible from Act 3. By combining three of the same base-type maps, you can create a map of a higher tier. This system not only helps sustain your mapping but also lets you upgrade excess maps for more challenging content.
It’s also advised to invest in the premium map and currency stash tabs if you plan to play long-term, as these make organizing and running maps much smoother.
Throughout your Atlas journey, you’ll collect tablets, which can be inserted into towers to grant various modifiers to maps within their range. Tablets can be modified using transmutation and augmentation orbs to add effects, increasing rewards and map mechanics. Using overseer precursor tablets with towers is especially effective, as these add bosses to maps, allowing you to further upgrade your waystones by defeating them.
When running maps, especially early on, it’s not always necessary to juice them heavily, but as you progress, using towers and tablets to maximize loot becomes increasingly important. The more tablets and modifiers you use, the more lucrative your mapping sessions become.
For your Atlas passive skill tree, prioritize nodes that increase shrine effectiveness, rare monster spawns, and pack size. More pack size translates directly into more experience, more loot, and a more efficient mapping experience. As you gain more points, expand your tree to include mechanics like strongboxes and essences.
Essences are highly valuable, not only for crafting but also for currency generation. New essences in Rise of the Abyssal can sell for substantial amounts, and each essence encounter guarantees another rare monster in your map. Strongboxes are also a top priority; they frequently drop valuable currency and crafting materials.
When juicing maps, use Alchemy orbs and Regals to reach six modifiers. From there, apply zelium orbs or other map-enhancing currency based on how much you want to invest. Paranoia orbs are great for high-end juicing, while diluted liquids and guilts provide budget-friendly options. Aim for maps with tower overlaps, particularly in cleansed or corrupted zones, as overlapping towers grant significant quantity and rarity bonuses for loot.
While mapping, you’ll encounter essences encased in rare monsters. These are important for crafting gear upgrades or for selling. Use them to guarantee specific mods on your equipment, such as maximum life or resistances, which are key to surviving higher-tier content.
If you need to upgrade your gear, use the in-game market (auction house) to search for specific item types and stats. Filter by stats like maximum life, resistances, armor, or energy shield depending on your build. The market interface allows sorting by stat values and price, making it easier to find the best upgrades for your budget. Learn to use trade filters and price-checking tools to evaluate and sell items that don’t fit your build.
After completing the Hostile Takeover quest, you’ll gain access to your hideout. This personal space allows you to organize crafting benches, stash tabs, and NPCs for maximum efficiency. Keeping your hideout organized and compact minimizes downtime between maps, letting you focus more on mapping and less on logistics.
For those aiming to maximize currency in Path of Exile 2 patch 0.3, a focused approach to juicing maps, optimizing towers, and setting up tablets is key. The following strategy is based on current testing and practical results, and while there may be more methods still to test, this setup has delivered strong returns so far.
Start with rolling your maps for maximum value. Use three Liquid Paranoas per map, each providing 15% increased rares, for a total of 45% increased rare monsters in your maps. Rare monsters and bosses are the primary loot sources, so this boost directly impacts currency drops.
After adding Paranoas, ensure every map is six-modded. This can be achieved using Regal and Exalted Orbs or Alchemy and Exalted Orbs. Every extra modifier adds more rarity, pack size, and rare monsters.
For the next layer, you have two options:
Corrupt your map to reach eight mods, which adds further bonuses.
Use Omen of Chaotic Rarity, a new addition in this patch. Using this Omen and then a Chaos Orb guarantees 100% map rarity, converting all modifiers to provide rarity. This increases currency quality, making it possible to obtain items like perfect Divines, Exalts, Regals, and Chaos Orbs.
Corruption is a cheaper route, while Omens are pricier but more consistent for maps with low natural rarity. If a map already has high rarity, you can simply corrupt it; if it has low rarity, use the Omen for guaranteed results.
When setting up towers, aim for two main configurations:
Two Tower Setup: Both towers should overlap in a cleanse zone. Completing a corrupted nexus in such a zone cleanses all adjacent maps, and cleanse monsters in these areas drop additional currency.
Three Tower Setup: Here, three overlapping towers in a region provide a 50% increase in tablets, translating to 50% more quantity.
Focus on either three-tower overlaps or two-tower overlaps with a corrupted zone. Nexus completion and running all cleanse maps within two-tower range is highly rewarding. You can also include citadels around your towers to obtain fragments that can be sold. For consistent results, running every two-tower overlap is an option, but it is less rewarding.
Tablets play a pivotal role in this strategy, especially when combined with three-tower overlaps. Aim for tablets with 5-7% quantity, ideally 6-7%, and always include Breach on every map. One or two Breach tablets in a three-tower setup are usually enough.
If you have all points in an Expedition tablet, running Expeditions is also worthwhile; they can be cleared quickly and provide strong loot. Include at least one or two Boss tablets and a Precursor tablet. Boss tablets grant plus one to level zones, which is useful for crafting or selling bases.
Keep an eye out for mods granting additional rare monsters or rare modifiers, but always prioritize quantity. Even if you get a Delirium tablet without direct benefit, the quantity makes it worth using. Including a Breach and a Precursor tablet on every map ensures you’re maximizing both currency drops and crafting potential. Higher zone levels from these tablets also contribute to experience gain.
For travel between towers, continue using six-modded maps. Special attention should be given to six-mod free Delirium maps, which drop frequently and can be stored in your Delirium tab.
One of the first Atlas points to take is "Get Out of My Head" for a 20% chance that maps drop with a random Instilled Emotion. This adds value to maps you run while traveling between juiced areas and can provide a steady stream of extra currency.
The Grand Project is another tool for traveling efficiently. Placing it allows you to access any map within its circle, even if the map isn't connected to your current path. This is particularly useful for skipping large distances or jumping directly to another corrupted zone with a tower. Although the Grand Project costs around 30 exalts, the time saved justifies its use.
The current Atlas tree focuses on maximizing the impact of tablets, as these are presently the only source of quantity on maps. Taking all top tablet effect nodes increases quantity, directly boosting item drops.
Precursor influence nodes for more tablets are also very strong. Rare monster nodes give 20% increased rares and a duplicate rare, making rare packs more rewarding. Additional quantity nodes are valuable since few sources of quantity exist.
Beyond that, you can choose to take strongbox nodes for extra divines, or swap out for more map effect nodes if preferred. "Unstable Energies" is especially useful this patch, as all modifiers now grant increased rarity, further improving loot. Essence and Shrine nodes are also options; Shrines in particular offer good survivability boosts for less robust builds.
Currently, Expedition and Ritual nodes are being skipped due to bugs, but once fixed, they become worth including. Focus remains on Breach and Delirium content due to their reliability. Boss tablets are valuable because they can apply plus one to level zones and occasionally provide a corrupted map bonus.
Crafting remains a consistent source of profit alongside mapping, so keep bases for crafting as you run maps.
Essence farming in Path of Exile 2 has become a staple for generating consistent currency, especially with the new demand for crafting materials. The strategy focuses on maximizing the number of essence encounters per map by optimizing your Atlas tree, using tablets and towers for overlap, and efficiently running maps. With the right setup, you can expect high returns for relatively low effort, making it a great choice for players who want steady income without complex mechanics.
Start by allocating every essence-related node on the bottom right of the Atlas tree. For the essence type selector, prioritize Energetic Resonance as these essences are consistently worth more than others. Next, pick up Ecological Shift to increase the number of essences you encounter. The remaining Atlas points can be spent according to your preferences. Picking up Unstable Energies and all rogue exile nodes is a strong option since rogue exiles near an abyss can turn into liches, dropping a guaranteed Heart of the Well, which is very valuable.
Tablet nodes are also worth considering, as they make your maps more rewarding. Alternatively, you can visit the bottom left of the tree to select Places of Worship and Seasonal Blessing. If you happen to get an acceleration shrine in your map, you’ll be able to complete it much faster.
For the top of the tree, invest at least six points (ideally eight) to access Crystal Realm. Since every map you run will feature a boss, this provides an extra 25% currency at all times. Organized Forces is also excellent, granting a chance at valuable level 20 gems and juicier maps overall.
For your mapping setup, start by alching all white maps, then augment and regal them to ensure you have at least a three-mod T15 map. Create a filter for bad map mods (such as temp chains or chilled ground) and avoid running those. Any maps that don’t meet your criteria can be sold for a decent profit, keeping your T15 map supply self-sustaining.
Focus on two particular tablet types: Grand Plans and Overseer Tablets. Grand Plans let you skip directly between towers, bypassing nodes you don’t want to run. Overseer Tablets with “guaranteed essence if a map has a map boss in it” are your main source of profit. Aim to have at least six to nine Overseer Tablets to begin with, rolling your own if possible, though you’ll likely need to buy most of them.
When choosing a location, look for a spot on your Atlas with at least two or ideally three towers close together with big overlaps. This setup allows you to use Grand Plans and Overseer Tablets for maximum effect, stacking guaranteed essences across as many maps as possible. If you only have one tower with little overlap, it’s not worth your investment.
Once you’ve found your spot, run a T15 six-mod map on a tower to unlock three tablet slots. Placing one Grand Plan and two Overseer Tablets in a tower can make about 12 maps within its circle have guaranteed bosses, each giving two guaranteed essences. Use Grand Plans to jump between towers, avoiding unnecessary nodes, and stack as many overlaps as possible for triple or even quadruple essence rewards in some areas.
Continue setting up as many overlapping towers as your budget and comfort allow. Each tower adds more value, and you’ll quickly recover your investment once you’re up and running.
Inside each map, your only objectives are to kill all essence monsters and the boss, as the boss is where most value comes from. Bring a stack of vaal orbs to every map. Use vaal orbs to modify essence monsters: re-rolling essences, adding more, or upgrading them into higher tiers.
Vaal Orb Usage Priority:
Greater Essence of Battle: Always use a vaal orb, aiming for a perfect essence of battle, the most expensive one.
Greater Essence of Sorcery: Use a vaal orb here as well, as the perfect version is still worth it.
Perfect Essences: If you see a monster with a perfect essence (except battle or sorcery), vaal orb it for exclusive essences.
Essence Stacks: For monsters with three or more essences, use vaal orbs to try for greater essences of haste, ruin, or enhancement, unless the monster already has one.
You’ll quickly get used to this simple priority after just a few maps.
Most essences you find will be worth little, but some have high demand and good sell rates. Use the essence section of POE Ninja to check current prices and, more importantly, the sales volume per hour to see which ones are worth listing. Focus on selling essences with high demand for quick returns.
In a sample run of about 120 maps, across six towers, the strategy yielded 2,327 chaos worth of essences (about 38.7 divines), plus another 10 divines from random drops like raw divines and omens. After expenses, the strategy produced roughly 43.7 divines net profit, averaging about 21.8 chaos per map and 262 chaos per hour, or 4.4 divines per hour. Maps took around five minutes each, making this method both efficient and consistent.
This ritual farming strategy in PoE 2 0.3 is one of the most effective ways to generate a steady stream of divine orbs, omens, and other valuable loot. It works for both new and experienced players, offering consistent profits, even without top-tier luck. Focused on maximizing tribute and leveraging the ritual mechanic, this approach can yield five or more divines per hour, with the potential for much more if you hit high-value omens or successfully run pinnacle bosses.
This method is built around ritual mechanics. By optimizing your Atlas tree, cleverly managing tribute, and using the right tablets, you can rack up tribute, defer the best rewards, and target both omens and ritual splinters. These splinters allow access to pinnacle bosses, which can drop unique items, valuable omens, and high-tier crafting mats, further boosting your profits.
Atlas Setup
Spreading Darkness is the first node to take. This prevents maps from spawning with only three rituals, which could limit your tribute and rewards. Tempting Offers reduces tribute costs for rerolling offers and gives two rerolls per ritual at a lower cost. As you earn more points, invest into nodes that let you defer items for less tribute and get them sooner. For higher tribute, head left on the tree. If aiming for more omens, aim for Ominous Portance for extra omen chances.
Tablet and Map Preparation
Gather 12 tablets that grant extra magical monster chances, reduced tribute for rerolling, and increased tribute gain. These can be found or purchased cheaply. Set up your towers on the map. After clearing a tower at the highest tier, you can place three precursor tablets to create a dense ritual area. Try to use towers and transitional towers to maximize the number of rituals covered by your tablets.
2. Running Rituals for Maximum Tribute
Maximizing Tribute
Before activating a ritual altar, scout the area for nearby monsters. Monsters in the area are assigned to the ritual and will respawn in later altars, greatly increasing your tribute income. Interact with strongboxes and other mechanics near altars, as those monsters will also count toward ritual waves. Always look for altars surrounded by large monster packs and start with those. If an altar is empty, move on and return later if needed.
Rerolling and Deferring
Use your tribute to defer high-value items, mainly omens and ritual splinters. Defer items as much as possible, rerolling offers each time to find better rewards. With the right Atlas setup, deferral costs are low (often just 750 tribute). Never buy items outright unless you run out of rerolls. Keep deferring and rerolling to stack valuable omens and splinters for later collection.
Use tablets that improve omen appearance rates on your maps. To boost tribute, use diluted emotions on waste stones for delirious effects, increasing monster pack size and rarity. More monsters means more tribute and more reward options. Consider running maps with delirium for even more monsters and tribute, though this adds difficulty, so only do so if your build can handle it.
In highly juiced rituals, expect more than 6,000 tribute after the third altar. This allows you to buy everything you want, defer high-value omens, and reroll multiple times per map. Prioritize omens ranging from two to ten divines or more, depending on the economy. Omens are always in demand for crafting and can be sold for instant profit. Always keep an eye on petition splinters, as they can be sold or used to access the pinnacle boss fight.
Collect petition splinters from rituals to open the pinnacle boss area. Decide whether to sell splinters for instant profit or attempt the boss for a chance at unique items, omens, and legendary drops. Running the boss can be risky, but the potential rewards include valuable omens and unique gear that can add several divines to your profits.
Track your loot by separating ground drops from ritual rewards. Focus on stable, liquid currency and high-value omens for your main profit calculation. A typical session (preparation plus running 25 maps) can net you 14 divine orbs or more, including both ritual and delirium drops. With good luck, high-value omens, and wise use of splinters, you can reach 10 or more divines per hour. Even on unlucky runs, the method provides solid, reliable returns.
